Forget Me Not Embroidery Test

Free Embroidery/Appliqué Design. For the past several months, Eleanor has been working with our friends at Baby Lock to develop a new embroidery/appliqué technique. The best part is, we want you to try it free and tell us your opinion. The technique is very different and uses the “Forget-Me-Not” floral stems from El’s book “Magic Vine Quilt.”

Once the program is loaded into your embroidery machine, (several formats are available) your machine will stitch an outline of the project. You then place a strip of green fabric
over the outline as your flower stem. The machine will stitch around the stem to secure it. Use small scissors to trim away the excess fabric and the machine will now sew a satin
stitch around the stem for the finishing touch. The same method is used for the flowers
and leaves to complete the design. You can embellish tea towels, napkins, placemats, blouses, just about anything you want.

Below is a zip file including different formats to correspond to the type of machine you will be using.

Once you have tested the project, the folks at Baby Lock want to hear your opinion of the program. The free project will be available for download through June 2, 2008.
