Good Morning! Safe traveling, Judi. Hope all goes well.
I haven't been around much lately. Time is flying by for me. We start to head back to Illinois on the 28th. We want to be back to spend Easter with our son and two grandkids.
Need to get coffee and start reading all posts to catch up a bit.

Good morning Judi And all that follow

Got a lot done yesterday Half the cabinets in kitchen washed down along with window. Then worked on my log cabins. I am moving along on schedule LOL
I think the quilt show may be in trouble. Got an email requesting more quilts. I registered all 5 of mine. I tried to tell them to take this year off. We have lost a lot of members. O well it will be what it is.
Today rest of kitchen then another round on all 28 blocks. I am actually enjoying making these. Love that ruler. Tomorrow the bathroom gets done. Will finish on Tuesday and sew. Then back to chiro. lol

Vel We are all waiting on you here in Il.
Judi Safe travels.

Now more java before I get in my kitchen.

You all have a great sewing day

Good morning,

JUDI - wishing you a good trip. Hope the storms stay away. Enjoy your evening with your niece.

KATY - Your house must be sparkling by now! I didn't wash my cabinets when I did my 'January cleaning'. Now I feel like a slacker! I've been to lots of quilt shows in small towns where there were only about a dozen quilts displayed and only 2 or 3 vendors, if that. Not so overwhelming and one can really enjoy the quilts instead of getting pushed aside by crowds. So I hope your group survives.

VELDA - hard to believe that it's almost time for you to head back!

KATHY - I hope you are OK after the big storm. I've been worrying about you! And Lois. and Vicky. I'm hoping your itching hasn't returned.

BECCA - I'm betting your little DGD was thrilled to get her new baby doll, but didn't want to give up her obviously much loved old one! Is that one fixable? I've seen Bandaid print material.

My sister and BIL are going to stay with their son tonite up near Seattle. So we have today and part of tomorrow to ourselves. I want to do some laundry, bind a comfort quilt, and do some uglies. I'm pretty certain I'll be staying with my brother's wife in her room at the hospital inn for 3 nights (this Thurs, Fri, & Sat) so I'm going to start gathering things to pack so to be ready.

Have a great Sunday! Piece!

Good morning everyone.
Hope those that are traveling have a safe trip. I saw on Facebook that due to winds the Potomac River in Northern VA was blown out to sea. You can see the bottom of the river in Alexandria. Yesterday while Michelle and I was sewing our dog Chloe came running down the stairs almost screaming. I took her and our other dog out and hubby told me that our neighbor and his dog was almost attacked by 2 pit bulls. Thank goodness hubby was outside when it happened. The dogs disappeared as quickly as they appeared. As far as sewing today, I am not sure if I will get any done. We are celebrating his birthday today. I don't have a lot of time before we leave. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning,

I think my room is just about in order Jerry needs to make one shelf so I have a place to store my batting and I need to make the design wall. Not sure if the wall should be one 4x8 sheet or two.

I don't have anything on my walls yet so the room echo's.

today the goal will be to square up my lodge and heart blocks. the lodge blocks will be a quilt for my son's school, they will have a raffle soon.

If time permits I want to start on my blocks for Lori's swap. if you haven't signed up yet there is still time.

Hope you gals have a groovy day.

Good morning all! Not much going on today. Need to get more uglies done. Will be glad when it finally warms up and stays so I can start Spring cleaning. For some reason I never have ambition to do it until weather turns warm. I try to do one room at a time then. This year really need to wash the windows. So glad we put in the tilt-in windows so I don't have to go outside to clean them.

Prayers for Judi and Vel as they get ready to come back north. Don't forget to bring the warm weather with you.

Katy - Sounds like you have been really busy cleaning. Send some of your ambition my way please.

Suzette - Glad your dogs are all right. I have a fenced in back yard for Smoke and am so glad.

Becca - Glad you got your DGD's doll done for her. I am sure she is enjoying it.

Maryz - Sounds like you have a busy week coming up.

Well better go get some breakfast for Smoke and me. Read on the computer this morning that David Ogden Stiers from MASH had died. That is one of my all time favorite shows. I have all the episodes on DVD but it is on TV so much I usually just watch it there. Jamie Farr who played Klinger is from Toledo just 40 miles from here. I have met him in person a few times at the LPGA Golf Classic that used to be named after him.

Hope everyone has a great day. The sun is shining here.

Good Morning Girls

what a difference a day makes! Cloudy, cool and rainy here this morning! Oh well, guess that means I'll stay inside and SEW today! How bad could that be! Do a little laundry while I sit and stitch.

Judi... Wishing and hoping and praying for a safe journey home!

Chriss...An Echo isn't so bad, that way when you tell yourself something, you'll hear it twice and it will be easier to remember! I have pieces all cut for Lori's swap and ready to go... but I need to do March Lotto blocks first, oh and layer/pin a quilt and print out another idea I found on Pinterest! UGH

Suzette... Yikes, that must have been some high wind... to almost empty the river! You keep hearing that Pit Bulls are really nice dogs, but they still scare me! But then any dog can be mean if they are not raised right--kind of like children!

Maryz.... AH some peace and quiet while Sis and Al are visiting elsewhere! Did you find any thing fun at the flea market? Maybe I'll just open my storage unit and call it a FLEA market and sell some of the stuff in there!

Becca... I bet your little Wren loves her new dolly. Maybe you should make another one, and have it on hand when she wears out this one!

Katy.... I never thought I'd say this... but I am actually looking forward to warmer weather so I can wash a few windows! You do put me to shame though with all your cleaning. I have to be in just the right mood to do some of that other stuff.. just hasn't hit me yet! I'd rather sew all day!

Velda... This whole winter has flown by hasn't it! Here it is almost time to go back to Illinois already!

Sherry... Saw that too about David Ogden Stiers... I remember like yesterday when I sat and watched the last episode of MASH. I should check my Netflix and see if it's on there. Always loved the references to Toledo in the show--since my Uncle lives in Toledo! When I wash windows, I loop a roll of paper towel though a belt around my waist, and a garbage bag.

Well, coffee is kicking in now, so I can get to work. Had a great picnic with my siblings. We all live in the Minneapolis area, but don't see each other super often. We have our winter picnic and in August my oldest DB has a big picnic at his house.

Congratulations to the winners of the February Lotto

Maryz, Linda (Rose92), Velda and Lori! Your blocks will be on the way to you soon--tomorrow if we don't get a snow storm!

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday

Good morning girls.

Judi- Prayers for traveling mercies. Enjoy dinner with your niece.

Vel- Prayers for you as well while you travel.

MaryZ- You will be busy. Prayers for your brother.

Chriss- Can't wait to see your newly designed sewing room. I thought about joining Lori's swap, but I don't have any good quality solids to use. I have a lot of prints that read solid from a distance. It does sound like a fun swap though.

Katy- What ambition to already have your spring cleaning under way. Hope your quilt show is a success.

Becca- What kind of baby doll did you make? Wren is such a lucky girl to have such a wonderful/sweet GMA.

Time to leave for church. Have a blessed day.

Good Damp & Cloudy Morning..........

Finally putting together the B Hunter blocks. So today will be filled with sewing & all sorts of paper work.

I wanted to bake today but maybe tomorrow.

Judi.....prayers for safe travel home. Enjoy your visit tonight.

Velda....if you're heading home winter must be really over.

Katy......do you rent your self out? With this bad shoulder I sure could use some help.

Becca....60's sound good. We might get snow once or twice this week.
All is fine here, there's an assortment of branches in the yard. The worst was at the shore. BUT then why do you build on the edge of the ocean?? Just like Long Island.

Maryz......see, I'm here! I'm not itching right now. Keeping your family in prayer.

Suzette......I'm glad everyone is safe from the pit bulls. To me they are a very scary dog. Happy Birthday to your DH!

Chriss.....I'm so excited for you redone room. you certainly deserve it.I think if you have the room make the bigger design wall.

Sherry.....You'll be cleaning before you know it. We may be getting snow but it smells like spring.

Maryq......enjoy your sewing day. A winter picnic sounds like great fun.

Mary/Rose........Have a great day.

Love & Prayers.......Kathy
