Good morning everyone.
Well, it's a good thing I wake up early. My friend that does long arm quilting for me sent me a message on Facebook that she is stopping by today to,pick up my quilt. I do t have the backing ready. After I finish here off to my sewing room. I woke up to 40 degrees outside. The weatherman was saying we may have some freezing stuff in the area. Who knows? Later today I am going to quilt the flannel quilt. Looks like a busy day. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning Suzette,
I don't know what it's going to do out there I think it's going to be a mixed bag.
I still haven't found my fabric for the block party yet just don't know I had an idea but the colors just aren't there so this weekend I will have to see what I'm going to do I hope we get our patterns so I can make a better judgement.

Well there is nothing new here I hope you all have a great day.
Prayers go out to all.

Well, I found out what may have caused hubby's ear problems. Michelle has the flu. She just posted that she had just gotten back from the ER. Oh my. I got my backing done. But had to piece it. I hope it works. That's what I get for looking at a fabric folded up and thinking oh it will work. I had to add to it.

Good morning Suzzette loved your flannel quilt:) have fun quilting it. Hope all the ears get better too.

Please keep in prayer the mother of one of my parishioners who is currently planning her wedding for next year--She was diagnosed with breast cancer and started her first run of chemo yesterday: Karen is her name:)

Mary yes I do my job through the computer it is like virtual dr. I do therapy using a system kinda like skype. I dont have kids on mon or wed so that I can do paperwork and still take care of daddy and lil man too.

Today its raining UGH which means feeding will be muddy and nasty. Gracie and Comet were in barn. They have been in barn for two weeks now. This week is first week I do not pin them up at night with a heat lamp. They are mingling in with my older girls now really well and eating at trough with mommas. They get a bottle for 10 weeks. So Gracie has 5 more weeks and Comet 7. It will be hard on Gracie not to get a bottle when Comet still does :( But the last 2 weeks is a weening process so they really do not get a whole lot of milk in bottles. The last week is like only 2oz twice a day.

Got to prep lesson for tonight childrens church, practice piano, sew, and do some uglies today. Oh and paperwork LOL. No lil man today momma off. Oh did I mention he said dada yesterday My son was so excited:) As was I too :) yet everytime I tried to catch it on video that lil bugger would just grin at me and laugh.

Hope you all have a great day

Hugs and prayers

Good Morning All

Having my coffee before feeding chores...fixed DH breakfast before he left for work. He actually is doing a job close enough to drive back and forth.

Had to take one of the fur babies to the vet yesterday, which meant a bath before. Not easy with only one person and no tub, the shower is too easy to escape, lol. She has developed a bad infection in her leg, how no one knows......on some tough antibiotics ...hope that nixes it quickly.

Rainy today and I skipped cleaning stalls yesterday for the trip to town. So, today regardless, I must clean the barn. Since cutting back and enlarging the stalls.....I can skip a day occasionally without problems.

My plan is to go to the studio and sew some later, we will see.lol

Happy Wednesday to all

Good morning, it's going to be a marvelous day today.

I posted the prayer a thon. I am going to post it every other week. I'm also going to try to change up the verses that I post. It will help me to study my bible a bit more.

Grandma is keeping me busy. she wants a chair for her shower. problem is her shower is a very small stall. Chairs are about 20 inches wide and there isn't any wiggle room for her.

There is a tub shower combo but climbing in and out of the tub is a chore.

So today I will return the chair and get her a shower stool. the leg span of a stool is about 13 inches. When grandpa built that house he wasn't thinking of their future needs.

Maryz, glad to have good news for your sister. I'm waiting on my vacation payout before starting my room. Since all my swap blocks are done I can start cleaning my room out. that will be the real chore.

Kathy, glad the grands will be well supplied for their valentines day.

Becca, prayers for ASA. and a hug from me.

Judi, Jerry would love to have seen that rocket. How cool for you

Everyone else, have a great day, I am just out of time.

Yesterday we were up and out early running errands. We had to be in Joplin at 8:30 which is about 45 minutes away. Then in afternoon one of the young volunteer firemen in the area needed a patch sewed on a shirt. He knew Joe is a retired cop and I used to sew on his patches, so he nicely asked. His fore station is down the street from us so he stopped by on his way to sit his shift.

Today is cold and icy, so I don't know what today brings. Coffee for now.

Good Morning,

SUZETTE - I hope Michelle and your hubby will be OK with the flu. How are you feeling today? I almost always have to piece my backs. Sometimes I just use all the scraps from the front of a quilt and put them together any way they fit. For some quilts, this actually adds to the charm. Once I made just one giant log cabin block. So you are painting and working with wallpaper, too! Fun, isn't it! NOT!

IZZY - Lots on your plate today. As usual. First word! A milestone! That little guy will be out 'running with the goats' before you know it!

LOIS - I hope you find some fabrics you like soon. When do you need them by? Are you shopping in your LQS or in your stash?

JOYCE - oh, I hope your fur baby will be OK. When I was very young we would visit a relative in Issaquah who had a small dairy farm. And he had us convinced that if we were very, VERY good little girls, he would let us clean the stalls in the barn - all by ourselves! Maybe 12 stalls. It was the best reward we could think of and we loved doing it. He and my parents were probably smirking over coffee in the house while we struggled. lol!

JUDI - that was a BIG thing to check off your bucket list! That was really cool. We watched it live on TV.

LEA - that poor little girl! You never know what kids are thinking! lol!

KATHY - I can't believe your little DGD is 12!!! Wasn't she just 6?? Hope your driveway thaws so you can get to H.D. to get stuff to thaw your driveway. Hmmmmm .... that sounded funny. . .

JANA - I think Ethan is slated to be a comedian! lol!

MARY Q - yep! My sister's hubby is "Imitation Al" so we won't confuse him with "Real Al", my brother. My sister is June, though she prefers to go by Tina. I saw some panoramic outdoor shots of Minneapolis during the Super Bowl. I thought of you and put on a sweater!! Are you missing work yet?

CHRISS - I, too, am surprised that Marilyn is going to be 15. I know she was 14 last year, but 15 is different. Almost grown up! I'm going to PMB this morning to raise a little cain with the clerks there and set them on a hunt for your blocks. I need one of those shower stools. My SIL said Jim had 3 and was going to give me one, but she never did. It seems every time we have guests, they need one because of injury, age, or one-leggedness. I see them in thrift shops so I'll be shopping one day.

FLO - nice of you to sew on the patch for the fireman. How is your sewing room doing?

BECCA - I will be praying for Asa and his parents!

My sis had biopsies yesterday of her 'fatty' cysts, but surgeon said same thing as radiologist. She will have final answer in 5 days but so far 2 specialist have told her she is fine so she is planning to hit the road for our house in about a week.

I received an e-mail from our LQS about a mile from our house. It's closing! In the last 7 years it has changed hands 3 times and each new owner improved it, with lots of classes, new fabrics, and never a parking spot! But suddenly the owner wants to retire. I'm not sure why she put so much into it in the past 2 years since she took it over, knowing she would soon be retiring. The exact same thing happened last fall to a very neat shop in Tacoma - got it up and running, big customer base, and then retirement happened in just 5 years. They even sold Janome sewing machines.

Yesterday I sewed a couple of lone blocks, then we put our furniture back after cleaning carpets, and we both relaxed the rest of the day from 3pm on in front of the TV, I with my cross-stitch project. Felt good to do that. Today is chiropractor, couple errands, and some more sewing.

I hope we all get some time "on the machine' today!

good morning. Today I'm hoping to keep cutting my pieces for a small throw making it with scraps. It looks like a real pretty sunny day. So with my cup of coffee I'm heading to the sewing room.

Hope Asa is doing better (prayers on the way).
The roads are dry enough to get to LQS.
We can see some bright spot in the day.

Enjoy the day.

Can't stay but I've read.

Jana - I've been meaning to tell you....last week they were advertising on TV that there was a model trail show at Reliant and it was touted as the largest in the world. Every time I saw it I tought about you and your DH.

Maryz - relieved about your sisters good news.

My DH sent me an ad yesterday from PetSmart - they are having rescue adoptions this Friday and Saturday and he's going over there. You could have knocked me over with a feather. We'll see if he finds one.

I hope you can all fondle some fabric today.

Morning, all!

Our sprinkler got fixed Monday, yippie! This particular sprinkler waters our raised beds, so it is important. We've gotten so much broccoli that we've given some away! We got 2 fruit boxes (4x4) for less than $10, so we will have more beds - eventually one will be asparagus.

I've been working on applique lately, because I've one had evenings to sew...

I have 2 baby quilts to work on (one girl & one unknown so far), several quilts to sandwich & quilt....and my quilting room to clean out!

Good morning!

Suzette - good thing you woke up early! My gosh I've done that very thing with backing. Sure hope your DH doesn't have the flu. Have fun with the flannel quilt.

Lois - it's usually easier for me to pick fabric and colors when I can touch the pattern. Hope yours gets there soon.

Izzy - prayers for Karen. I bet your son was beaming at the 'dada' word. Good luck getting it all done.

Joyce - oh hope that antibiotic kicks in quick. I can't imagine wrestling with a big dog in a bathtub. I can't even do it with a little one! (Well, she's 18 lbs.) Hope the cleaning doesn't eat into your day too much.

Becca - prayers for Asa and his parents and extended family.

Chriss - a shower stool is a great idea. You're such a good granddaughter. Wow I also can't believe Mar is going to be 15.

Flo - how kind of you to sew on his patch.

Maryz - I was thrilled at the results of your sister's biopsy. Whew. That is such a shame about the LQS. My DH has to use a shower chair to shave and brush his teeth due to his fusion - good thing we didn't get rid of ours after our new surgeries. Y'all earned your rest!

Judi - what an experience to see the rocket launch! Have a great day with your friends.

Diane - have a grand time in your sewing room.

Cindyg - how exciting - you might be getting a new fur baby!

Today DH is heading to his PCP for a lung check and then to the dentist. I'm headed to Bible study. I picked up some fabric yesterday to do a ten minute table runner for my secret sister - her birthday is Valentine's Day. I can't believe how expensive fabric is! I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed day. xoxo Sharona

Good Morning Girls

Dang it's cold again! Was thinking about getting out of the house today and running to WM for a few things, but now I'm not sure I want to bundle up and go out. Woke up with a head ache so that plays into the decision as well.

Suzette... Oh Gosh, hope you and DH are both feeling better and that you don't get the flu from Michelle. Glad you woke in time for your LA quilter.. how nice that she will come and pick up a quilt from you!

Diane... I've been spending so much time in my sewing room, I've been tempted to buy a spare little coffee maker for down there! Then I won't have to go up for a refill! Bet it feels good to be sewing again!

Judi... Ken must have been in the car honking the horn! Enjoy your day visiting friends.

Maryz.... Nope, I am not missing work yet. I am getting a little cabin-fevery tho cuz I've been in the house with this cold for over a week. Am needing a hair cut very badly, so might try to get out for that today.. and maybe groceries. If nothing else, I should at least see if my car will start. What great news for your sister!!

Flo... I can't make any decisicisons about the days plans until I've had my coffee... so put your feet up for a few, enjoy a cup or two... then go for it!

Chriss...Wish I could be there to help you re-do your sewing room! What fun we'd have.

Becca.... Lots of prayers for Asa today!!! And for Russ and Emily too. May God watch over all of them today!

Joyce... have to say I'd much rather sew than clean barns! When my DIL boarded her horse near me tho, I did love to go up to the barn and smell that smell of fresh hay and horses.

Izzy... Prayers for Karen... How sweet Lil William's first word was DADA, can melt a daddy's heart!

Lois... wish I lived closer, you could come and shop in my 17 boxes of fabric for your BOM. I must have something you could use!

Sharon... When I first started quilting years ago, the first time I went to LQS for fabric, I about fainted at the price of fabric. I'd sew clothes when the kids were little, but it had been a while. Most of the fabric in my stash I got on sale, so I don't feel so bad. Even Joann's nicer fabric is $12-14/yd. Gotta get those coupons!

Cindyg... You're getting ANOTHER dog???? Are you nuts??????

Cindyb... you can keep the broccoli! Now if you had good tomatoes in your garden, I'd take those.

Guess I'll go get in the shower... called a beauty shop this morning to see if I could sneak in for a hair cut, so better be ready, just in case. Need to add the borders to the autograph quilt today, then pin and quilt. I found a jelly roll of green/blues batiks the other day and thinking I might make an Irish Chain with it. Can't decide if I should use white background or off white. Maybe I'll take a photo of the options and post pictures so y'all can help me decide!

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday

Good snowy morning....

The snow just started. Won't be too bad, up to 3". I still need to do a little ice chopping to get to my trash bins. Bummer no trip to the PO.

I might make cinn rolls for my new neighbors, they did move in in Aug. What a procrastinator I am.

Well I'm off to chop ice.

Love & Prayers.......Kathy
